LEADERSHIP

Pastor Vincent E. Lewis

Pastor Vincent E. Lewis is a native Houstonian who was born to the late Dorothy Lewis-Gilbert on February 6, 1963. He attended school in the Cypress Fairbanks ISD where he graduated from Jersey Village High School. Pastor Lewis and First Lady Eleanor Lewis have been married for 33 years and are proud parents of two sons, Dalvin and Travis.

He confessed his belief in Christ at the early age of 11 and was baptized by the late Rev. Bennie Blair at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church.  He is a faithful worker in God’s vineyard.  For 22 years, he has been spreading the good news.  His ministerial affiliations include the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc., Prairie View A&M University Ministerial Conference, and the Los Angeles W.H.W. Ministers Conference. He holds a certification in Expository Preaching and is seeking an Associate Degree in Theology from the College of Biblical Studies.

Pastor Lewis's teaching experiences at GMBC include bible study and Sunday School alternate teacher (Adult Men Class).  Pastor Lewis was instrumental in initiating the Development in Ministry Excellence Program (DIME) at GMBC.

Lady Eleanor Lewis

Lady Eleanor came to Christ at a young age. She demonstrates a genuine concern for God’s people—especially the youth of the church—and reflects this devotion in her daily walk. Her favorite scripture is: “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him” (Colossians 3:17).

She is well regarded within the Christian community for her quiet and reserved demeanor, yet she is also known for her joyful laughter. Scripture affirms this in 1 Peter 3:3–4: “Don’t be concerned about the beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within—the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God” (NLT).

The Bible teaches that a meek woman does not avoid or retreat from controversy, but rather walks through necessary confrontations under the guidance and control of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 6:1–2; Proverbs 27:5). Lady Eleanor embodies this meekness and is phenomenally made.

She is a woman of virtue who complements her husband’s ministry as a devoted wife and loving mother. Since beginning their leadership in ministry in 2011 as the pastors of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church, Lady Eleanor has worked tirelessly alongside her husband, Pastor Vincent “Ben” Lewis. Together, they are the proud parents of two handsome sons, Dalvin and Travis.

First Lady Eleanor is truly a faithful and humble servant of Christ.

Reverend Walton’s life’s work has been devoted to working with Youth and Young Adults. He began his life devotion working with Youth as a mentor in the Sunshade Kids program in the Sunnyside

neighborhood of Southeast Houston. From there he transitioned into the Greater YMCA of Houston’s afterschool program as a Program Director. He then transitioned into Juvenile Probation where he served as a Gang Officer for 19 years. In November of 2024, the Lord moved him to his current position of Program Director at Workshop Houston, a creative arts program in the Third Ward community.

Above all, Reverend Walton takes pride in being a follower of Christ and father to his five children, Brandon Jr. , Ailey, Daniel, Titus, and Jaylen.

Reverend Brandon’s Scriptural Motto is:

“He hath shewed thee, O Man, what is good; and what the Lord requires of thee, but to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.” Micah 6:8
